    Barbara V. Evers won the Imadjinn Best Fantasy Novel from the Imaginarium Convention for her debut novel, The Watchers of Moniah.

    Allen Stevenson's short story "The Anniversary" won second place in 2021 for The Lowcountry Award for Excellence in Southern Writing. 

  • Miriam Van Scott's Charleston-based novel picked up by darkstroke books

    Bandun Gate, a Charleston-based horror novel from local author Miriam Van Scott, has been acquired by darkstroke books.  The story involves the vengeful ghost of an executed murderess determined to steal a new body to 'wear,' while an alliance comprised of an exorcist, a former cult member, a former victim's husband, and the mother of the spirit's latest target  work to send the fiend back to Hell. 

    Bandun Gate is set for publication in February 2022.

    Dear Writers, 

    I am happy to report that my debut collection of poetry, An Eclipse and a Butcher, published by Muddy Ford Press has received recognition in the above publications plus Prairie Schooner newsletter.

    Evelyn Puerto's debut novel, Flight of the Spark won a Readers' Favorite silver medal for YA epic fantasy.

  • Catherine C. Con's Short Stories Publication and Award

    Catherine C. Con's short story "Becoming" will be published on The Bookend Review, December 2021.

    Her short story "Feuillemort", the Finalist for the Ann C. Barnhill prize for Creative Nonfiction will be published on Longridge Review, October 2021.

    Her "The Visit" will appear on Change Seven, October 1st, 2021.
