The board of directors of the South Carolina Writers Association has determined it necessary to change the 2021 spring conference, scheduled from April 16 to 18, 2021, to a virtual event due to the continuing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is extremely disappointing that we cannot continue with our plans for an in-person event. The board and SCWA members were excited to be able to spend time in person with the participants and faculty to benefit from us all being together to talk about writing. However, we still look forward to experiencing a wonderful event, albeit in just a different way. 

Our Conference Committee is working on how to conduct the best virtual experience possible and will share plans with you very soon. In the interim, registration fees that have been paid will be refunded.

We are dedicated to delivering an outstanding writers’ conference and appreciate your understanding and support in this decision. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
