Message from the President
When asked to describe who we are and what we do at SCWA, we typically highlight a few member benefits as captured on our website (something we’re mighty proud of). In a recent planning session, board member Roger Jones described it the best when he summed up our elements into three areas:
Association, Education and Publication.
We find the description quite fitting. You’ll hear us use it more, but most importantly, you’ll see and feel the benefits of your organization as we deliver on those elements.

CHAPTER SPONSORS NEEDED FOR WRITING CONVERSATIONS
Local chapters are needed to “sponsor” three sessions of our virtual Writing Conversations Series. If you or anyone in your group is a regular attendee of these virtual programs, please considering sponsoring. You will be able to pitch your chapter to the attendees. It's free advertisement for your chapter and a shout-out for your efforts. For more info, please contact Kasie Whitener at kasiewhitener@yahoo.com. You also are encouraged to make recommendations for facilitators/hosts of Writing Conversations. Do you have a particular expertise in writing or an experience to share? Do you know someone who does? Please consider these opportunities.
